Does anyone experience this with their autistic child

My son is 2 years old and has autism and when it comes to eating I know he has texture issues with most foods but it doesn't let it stop him from eating because he just loves eating 🤣... He doesn't chew his food at all. He swallows everything. With no trouble at all.. maybe the odd time he might struggle but he usually is able to manage it in his own but I'm just worried how this will effect him in the long run.. he is on solids since 4 months like baby rice and it quickly went to mash potato meat and crackers ect.. can you guys imagine just swallowing full penne pasta cheese sticks whole?? I would die...of choking. Now every kid is different with how they deal with their sensory issues my nephew plays with food in his mouth I think I'd prefer that to what my son does to be honest.

My son does this with ravioli the square ones in the tin, I cut them into threes to make sure he doesn't choke. I cut tube pasta penne in half length wise for my son

Yep! Mines 3 and loves his food but oh my god things disappear in seconds because he doesn’t chew😂🙄

It’s either a sensory issue from the texture changing when he chews; or he has under developed oral motor skills, OR he is genuinely unaware how to chew fully. I struggled with this as a child because I genuinely did not understand I had to chew for longer than I was chewing for. when my step dad (when I was 9 years old) saw me eating for long enough to notice, he said “chew 37 times, at least” and then it just became habit without me ever having to actually think about it again.
