Pregnant again!!

11 months postpartum and here I am pregnant again.. I've heard it can happen, but I didn't think it'll happen to me.. my period came back fairly regular but last month was late and I didn't realise the fertility window was so big! Unplanned pregnancy that we've decided to keep and be grateful for another miracle! Any mothers out there that had babies so close to each other, any bits of advice?

I’m not in the same boat, but my mum got pregnant basically a month after she had my sister; we’re only 10 months apart!

@Tamara happy to hear a successful story! ❤️ They say there can be health complications, so I'm just hoping everything will be alright 🤞🏻

My girl was 20m when we had our 2nd. I don't know if it would be different with more of a gap but so far it's been fine. My first wasn't bothered by him until he was 9m or so and chatting, laughing and on the move. They play together now fine. There's been tiny pangs of jealousy later on but nothing major. She doesn't like to share toys much but she's trying. She likes to mother him now, she gives him lots of cuddles, kisses, gives him his dummy if he drops it, tells me if he's sad or crying etc. What kind of health complications are you referring to? With them or you? My second was preterm (36w) but absolutely fine, he was jaundice but I think that's because it was a very quick delivery. I've recently been diagnosed with hypothyroidism ☹️ not sure if that's an age thing or a post pregnancy thing. It's quite common for women, 30-50yrs, and/or if you've had two or more kids.

Found out I was pregnant with my baby girl the month before my first turned one . So I have a August 2022 and March 2024 . It's been rough at times and my oldest had to get use to some changes but now we are almost a year in wouldn't have it any other way . Aside from a few activities they can play together and they do choose to. Hearing my oldest calling for his sister to come play is lovely to hear and warms my heart. The first few months and be alot but they are 100% worth it .

Thank you for sharing your stories! So lovely to hear the siblings get on well, makes me imagine a bright future, and very happy to give my little girl a brother or sister. Not sure what health issues could occur, I didn't look too much into it so I don't get too paranoid about it. Just the general advice says to wait at least 18 months so the body recovers fully after a pregnancy. I had gestational diabetes first time, and I will turn 38 this year, so I am not that young anymore to bounce back quickly 😅 Hopefully everything will be alright though, still early days!

Hi! I'm 13 weeks pregnant with our surprise baby 🙈 we will have an 18 month age gap. Feel free to drop me a message xx

I have an 11 month old and am 10 weeks pregnant with no2. I’m excited for a close age gap so they’ll be going through the same phases together, but also terrified of the impending chaos 😂

We chose to have two close in age. I conceived at 5 month pp and they are 14 months apart. Honestly I think a closer age gap has been so much easier than expected for me. I couldn’t imagine having a newborn now my eldest is 2. The terrible twos are wild. I wouldn’t change it for the world though. Congratulations! Take every day as it comes and allow yourself a bit of grace. Pregnancy with a baby is hard but it’s all worth it in the end
