Healthy on-the-go snacks

We're often out of the house for breakfast/lunch (my boy isn't really interested in eating breakfast until 10ish). I pack lots of snacks but I feel like they're just not that nutritional, especially as they are essentially his meals (baby crisps, snacks etc). I usually also pack fruit, but does anyone have any ideas for ideas of things that will work in a lunchbox but are more nutritional? He is in a bit of a fussy 'beige' phase... Thank you!

Have a look on BBC good foods, I found some really easy simple recipes for things like oat cookies and stuff like that, you can both enjoy them too which is always a benefit.

I usually take a lunch box out with us, he will have things like humous sandwich in strips or breadsticks with humous dip, sometimes I do a tea cake with peanut butter in the middle. He does like babbles, a pot of different fruits and then a banana too. Sometimes I take squeeze yogurts but obviously you’d have to eat that quick.. and sometimes I make a porridge pot to take. It’s definitely hard thinking of new things! X

I often make flapjacks from banana, carrot, apple, cinnamon and oats. Humus and rice cakes/breadsticks as mentioned above. Also a lot of bananas!! I am trying to persuade her to enjoy satsumas as that would be convenient! They aren't great nutritionally but she also loves the Soreen mini loaves.

@Cloe I hadn't thought of teacakes with peanut butter, thanks for this idea!

@Kate no problem. The flapjacks are a good idea! X
