@Rogue I don't mean on the handle. I'm talking about putting a lock on the upper half of the door. So my son can't reach it
You would need either bolt type lock or a chain style. As long as its high enough for him not to reach it. Our son was able to open the door locks, including our front door over 6 months ago now. They are too clever 😄

I got the ring alarm for the important doors. 2-3 they are gonna figure all that stuff out
Maybe helpful maybe not when my cousin would sleep walk in the middle of the night she would go outside and one time she tried to pet a stray animal so my uncle installed one of those door chain locks at the top so she couldn't reach it.
I’ve seen these lock things for baby proofing on the top of the door higher up.
Depends type of door.. I have French handles so might not help
