Daycare food!

So my 1yr old daughter doesn’t eat a lot during the day it’s very difficult to get her to eat breakfast and lunch. But she’s in daycare from 9am-4-6pm(just depends) and I have to pack her food for the day because the daycare doesn’t provide them food. She typically has a fruit or vegetable of some sort. Cheese puffs, Gummies or Yogurt, crackers and juice. She also has 4 different milk bottles through the day. Normally when she’s ready for a nap. Most days she doesn’t eat everything I pack her for the day…. It makes me upset that she doesn’t eat. Idk why! Is there anything I should try?????? This is what she had today and only ate the gummies, banana, and 2 fruit cakes.

@Abby no they don't. They might in your state but not in the 2 I've lived in.

Also I feel the struggle. My guy can't do dairy so that's felt pretty limiting too. He likes Cheerios most days, berries, pancakes (made with oatmilk), breakfast sausage cut up... He still gets quite a few bottles too

Just wanted to say it is totally normal for kids 1-3 years to eat VERY little!! As long as what they ARE eating has some nutritional value, it’s nothing to stress about. Super common around this age and they are fine :)

Hey! Ugh I hope this doesn’t come across condescending, but feel I should say something as someone with childcare experience. The fruit snacks, animal crackers, and Cheetos really are not appropriate for one year olds. All are choking hazards and have no nutritional value. The apple juice is better to be diluted with water.

Crackers, cheetos, and anything gummy are not safe for any child under the age of 3

@Kristen hey! I’m a pediatric sonography specialist and I took children’s pediatrics classes. I know that there are things that are choking hazards! The Cheetos melt in her mouth, and the gummies and animal crackers are cut into pieces! She doesn’t get whole ones!! And her juice does get mixed with water!
