Baby not eating

Anyone else struggling to get their baby to eat 3 times a day? We’ve tried to encourage him to eat 3 times but he refuses. For example in the morning will offer porridge but refuse and accept yogurt. Then lunch will refuse the whole meal but accept milk or water and at dinner he will eat majority of the food but 1/4 will fall to the ground as he’s BWL . I’ve tried squeezing it in little snacks like fruit and veg or baby biscuits here and there and he will gladly eat those . He seems okay in weight he’s not fat or skinny but I’m worried he’s not receiving all his nutrients.

If he's still getting breastmilk or formula then he will be getting his nutrients. Food before one is just for fun and then it's a case of building it up when they're ready. My little boy just ate better on two meals a day (we did a kind of brunch and then a dinner) until quite late, maybe 18 months. I'm sure you're doing fine mama!

We do breakfast and dinner and then I offer “chewing” snacks like cucumber and celery that my little girl likes to chew on for her teeth it helps with coordination too but we focus more on her trying stuff rather than actually eating a meal

How old are we talking? When we first started weaning I tried to go all in with 3 meals a day and it did not work. My poor 6 month old was overwhelmed and confused. Remember this is entirely new to them and they have never done it before. We scaled back and didn't move to even 2 meals until well after 8 months. She's 16 months now and eats like a champ, no issues. Take it at their pace - that's what BLW means. It's not just about offering solid foods. It literally means "baby-led" - as in, let the baby decide their own pace.

It sounds like he’s not ready for solids yet
