Sandwiches

What's the best way to give a 9mo a sandwich? I usually give her toast and she loves it, but when out and about it's easier to prepare a sandwich. Is it safe at this age or is the bread too soft? Also, what filling do you recommend? I'm thinking something simple like cream cheese?

I make sandwiches all the time. I mainly do hummus or ham as we're dairy free but cream cheese and ham is a go to fire my eldest. The cheese sticks it all together so it's helpful for on the go. I just cut into quarters.

You can make toasties if you’re worried about the bread being too soft x

I just pull it apart into bite size bits. My baby has no teeth😂 but is a good chewer xx

I use the Warburtons wholemeal small slices and it’s less claggy than white bread. We do soft cheese, grated cheese, hummus and peanut butter and then cut it either into small squares or little pieces that he can pick up 🙂

Someone I know said they flatten it to make it a bit easier to eat
