I had gallbladder surgery, you can shave your hair if you want if anything they will probably do it for you🤷
@Tiffany @Mechelle thanks both. I’m just really nervous about the hair growing through the cut after thinking it’ll get infected 🤦🏻‍♀️. How was your surgery and recovery? I have 3 kids 5 and under so I’m worrying lol
Surgery day is a bit rough after. You'll be pretty sore the 1st couple of days and after that itll get better. Because of the anesthesia, youre not gonna want to eat anything heavy, i ate mostly soup that 1st day after surgery. The main thing is to be careful lifting. If i remember correctly, my doctor told me nothing over 10 lbs. My daughter was 4 months and weighed about 13lbs and he didnt seem to concerned with her. Recovery went well, the pain meds helped those 1st couple of days and by the time i was done with the prescription, the pain had subsided to where i didnt need them. One of the things that i wasnt prepared for is that they will fill your abdomen with air during surgery to inflate the organs and better see the gallbladder to take out. Afterwards do everything you can to get that air out, pass gas, burp just get it out or your stomach is gonna hurt alot more from the gas. Youve got this! Its okay to be nervous, i was too!
Thankfully the laparoscopic isnt invasive like the surgery used to be! Itll be okay, and once its out you will feel so much better and never have to do this again!
