WFH marketing job

How much would you charge monthly if a client was asking you to create 5 weekly Instagram posts for them? They’re super easy to make and will literally take me like 5 mins each on Canva so in total that would be about 20 posts a month? I’m thinking the £300-£500 mark. My husband pays for all living costs V so this is just side money / money to save for a rainy day

So that's like 2 hours worth of work a month? 5 mins x 5 posts = 25 mins. X 4.3 weeks as some months have 5 weeks. = about 108 mins. = 1.8 hrs worth of work. What you are looking to charge is like 166 - 277 for 1.8 hours. That's if I did my maths correctly. 300/ 1.8 = 166 500/ 1.8 =277 That seems like daylight robery! Unless there's more hours you're putting in to this like scheduling, managing his social media, responding in their behalf etc.

I don’t charge per hour and before hand I had clients that would pay £20/£30 for a few posts this isnt shift work and yes I would be managing the social media pages

Do you mean £300-500/month? I’d say the range seems ok but for the lower end I’d expect basic image/text posts, and for the higher end a mix of images and reels (if appropriate)

Who’s the client? What size? Do not settle! Charge your worth and scale up from there! I’d do £500 per month if I thought they would pay it. Dress it up as a big package, prove the value with data when live. Rinse and repeat. Congrats on a great gig! Our community needs to see more of this! 👏

How do I get a job like this?

@Kay Networking! I met this guy at David Lloyd’s about three years ago and we’ve been working together/in contact since. Prior to this I was networking and had a couple of my own clients and made social media posts for them. I would suggest making a portfolio and then contacting small businesses and seeing if they need someone to create their posts for them and manage their social media accounts

I’ll look into this! Thanks so much!

@Kay no worries - I literally just use Canva as well to create it’s easy and I enjoy being creative

This is amazing!! Well done you! It doesn’t matter if it takes 5mins or 30seconds - they’re paying for your creativity and expertise. People starting off might take an hour or two per post. I think what you’re charging is fine Also PS - if you’re a fan of networking have you never considered getting paid for it?! X
