Money talk - how much do you spend a month on childcare
Hi ladies,
My husband and I were already considering buying a house before I found out I was pregnant. Trying to be realistic about how big of a mortgage we can afford now that we have a little one on the way.
If both you and your partner work full time and live in West London (and don’t mind sharing), how much do you pay for childcare costs in a month / year? Open to mums that have gone back to work on a part-time basis as well.
Appreciate that money talk can be sensitive so if you’re open to share let me know and I’ll drop you a DM.
Thanks!
These are our monthly essentials: HiPP Organic Formula – £130 (48 ready-to-feed bottles) Peachies Nappies – £70 Wash & Shampoo – £23 (2 bottles) Bamboo Wipes – £17 Nappy Cream – £14 Baby Powder – £12.50 Organic Baby Detergent – £9 Total: £275.50 This doesn’t include clothes or shoes, as those aren’t monthly expenses. I choose organic or as-close-to-organic products whenever possible. There are cheaper options available, especially for formula. We’ve stuck with ready-to-feed HiPP Organic since that’s what was used in the hospital and my son never took to powdered formula after that.
