@Victoria I’ve been consultant led since 12 weeks due to being diagnosed with low Papp-a first. I’m getting so panicky as I’ve wanted to talk about an elective and now I feel I won’t get the chance 😩
@Kourtney i was low papp A in my previous pregnancy and baby was reduced growth. i had monitoring every two days. My C-section was booked about 34 weeks but baby was also breech. with everything going on they should deffo be discussing it. i did have a midwife appointment today and she said they won’t discuss my birth plan until 36 weeks but im seeing my consultant before then so im not leaving until it’s discussed lol. not nice when its all up in the air. Do you have an appointment soon?
@Victoria I’ve got an appointment with the consultant Tuesday as they’ve had to bring it forward with all the problems I’m having at the minute so hopefully we’ll discuss it all then. It’s just so annoying!
What’s your pre eclampsia signs? Hope you’re ok. X
@Bonnie high blood pressure, protein in my wee and keep getting bad headaches. Thank you just sick of it all now haha x
Bless you. There’s a lot going on isn’t there. Make sure you look after yourself and try to do the things you enjoy. I’ve been on monitors this week too on two separate occasions with high BP. My sister had pre-eclampsia so they are always testing me for that too. Got to see a midwife twice a week for BP tests but it always comes back high, get sent to triage, then it comes back down so preparing to be in triage twice a week for the next five weeks or so! I know how you feel about feeling fed up. But it’s good that they are monitoring us and we don’t have long left. I’m 35 weeks today and I haven’t spoken about birth plan either. You’re not alone!
@Kourtney baby will be here soon🫶🏼
@Kourtney Hope things get abit better soon!! Glad you are being monitored! You’re on the home stretch now and little man will be here soon! Fingers crossed for you for the rest of the time!!!
Yep absolutely done with it now, I’m 37+5 😅 Oh hun bless you, I bet all of that adds an additional level of exhaustion to it all. I’ve seen you said you wanted to discuss an elective. I’d chat with your consultant about it asap, as typically electives are done during week 39, however for GD I’ve heard of them doing them from week 37 onwards (obviously this may differ for different symptoms etc) so I’d let them know as soon as you can!
@Bec well I have a consultant meeting on Tuesday as it’s been brought forward so fingers crossed it’ll all get sorted then. I think there’s only been 2 days this week that i haven’t been in hospital on monitors for my blood pressure it’s a nightmare
Are you being consultant led? It’s surprising they haven’t discussed a birth plan and very frustrating!
