Snacks?!?!

Every hour.... Nack please mummy?!? Nack?!?!? Me have Nack now?!?! 😂😂 What do you give for snacks? She eats alot of fruit, but I worry about too much sugar. Sometimes I give a cream cracker, a couple of breadsticks, a handful of quavers. What do you all give for snacks?

Cheese and crackers. Bread for like some kind of sandwich. Gold fish veggie straws

We get chicken chunks from asda that my little one loves, but she's awful for asking for biscuits atm 🙈

I try to give something with protein as it fills them up more e.g. breadsticks with cream cheese, bagel or apple with peanut butter, chunks of cheese with halved grapes etc. Doesn't always work especially when they're going through a growth spurt 🤷🏻‍♀️

In Spain kids get a "merienda" between lunch and dinner which actually quite resembles a British lunch (sandwich and fruit or a yoghurt) . I've adapted this to my son's age and depends on what his lunch has been and his dinner will be (to keep it balanced) I can include things like, Hummus and carrots/cucumber with some crackers; yoghurt and fruit and some homemade oats biscuits with various flavours (takes only 10mins + 13 in the oven and they freeze); ham, cheese crackers and fruit; fruit and homemade toddler muffins (again, quick and easy, I make them once a moth and freeze), as above, maybe some chicken. So almost like a 4th meal, but a bit smaller if that makes sense. He still may ask for some extra fruit or a biscuit between this 3.30 snack and his 6.45/7pm dinner, but only once
