@Alyssia x thank you x i’ve got a friend who had twins almost a year before so i base a lot of his milestones off of theirs as a FTM, and they were starting to use cutlery from like 10 months old, whereas he couldn’t care less 🤣
@Ebony Aww bless them! Some baby’s are just prone to being more advanced but that doesn’t make you any less of a mother in any way shape or form. It can be very upsetting sometimes but like I said every child is different. My close friend has a little girl the same age as my daughter and she is talking and playing like a 2 year old and it made me think I was doing something wrong but where not at all. He will do it when he is ready. You’re doing a great job! X
I think part of the reason our little one can do it is because we eat with her and always have so she’s now wanting to do the same as mummy and daddy. We have more mess than hands but I just love that she wants to use spoon and fork
Honestly, one day it’ll be like someone’s flicked a switch and they will suddenly just show an interest. Don’t panic, as long as your little one is eating, it doesn’t matter how it gets in their mouth just yet! xxx
In the same boat! I asked nursery and they said they dont worry until they are closer to two so Im not worried, as long as she is eating
what kind of food should i be offering with a fork and a spoon? like i know that sounds really really stupid, but i don’t want it to be too hard
Don’t push yourself to think he needs to be using cutlery. My daughter is the expect same she prefers her hands every child is different and all you can keep doing is offering them to him and one day he will pick them up and never put them down again. You’re doing nothing wrong and all the right things! X
