I was on it for the last 3 weeks of pregnancy due to borderline pre eclampsia - didn’t get the shakes though… I’d chat with your GP or midwife…

Hey Jessy, I’ve been on labetalol since 20 weeks and I’m now 33 weeks. The first few days, I couldn’t stop shaking & my scalp (weirdly) was really sensitive - a few other random symptoms too, but they went after a few days! I’ve been okay on them since - chat to the midwife or DR if you’re not sure just to be safe. The leaflet in the pack is quite helpful as I couldn’t really find much online x

I had really bad preeclampsia and was on 200mg 4 times a day of labetalol however, I was hospitalised for about the last 6 weeks of pregnancy due to this and was monitored I did sometimes have the shakes but this could of been down to me either being cold or adrenaline as I had hyperemesis throughout

I would speak to your midwife about the shakes as it seems like a side affect. I was on Labetalol due to having high blood pressure before and after pregnancy. I never had the shakes thou. I think its because my body was just used to taking blood pressure medications as I have been on them for quite a long time.

I was given some last night as went in with BP 157/95 so was given 200mg. It came down within 35mins and been fine ever since. Back today to be checked over again and to decide whether to be given a couple of days supply to last til my induction next week.

thank you ladies. i have gone in today with a 134/82 reading and they’ve sent me straight home with no more. feeling very lucky xxx
