Yes same! I’ve just been trying different things. Today I made a berry smoothie with coconut yogurt and avocado! She approved
@Zohi she has actually just stopped eating all together. She will eat yogurt occasionally, definitely has a texture preference ( so do i) , likes to hold foods in her hands and squish it. Honestly I wouldn’t mind it; one less picky eater to tussle with for right now lol but it seems she isn’t getting all her nutrients from milk anymore as she has lost almost 2 lbs in about 2 months and the doctors are concerned
@Olivia currently trying to get her to drink from cups regularly. She will drink water from my Stanley but nothing else. I bought her one of her own and also a 360 cup and she just plays with it. I may have to make myself a smoothie and see if she will drink it with me lol
As my girl gets more active she’s dropped into a lower weight percentile so I def understand the struggle. She is also way more interested in exploring the world than eating and it can be like pulling teeth to get her to drink a whole bottle. Something that has helped her gain weight are breastmilk pops. I mix them with other ingredients like baby cereal or peanut butter to add extra calories and benefits. She can eat them ‘on the go’ and have made s huge difference💛
I’m sorry you’re dealing with this stress. My friend has a kiddo like yours and they said feeding therapy really helped them. Maybe you can ask your doctor if your lo fits the bill for a referral. If anything maybe try feeding smoothies from a bottle (especially because she’s only drinking water from your stanley)? Again I’m sorry that you’re going through it, hopefully she’ll start to eat and gain soon
@Zohi that’s how my niece is.. she won’t eat anything but like fries other than that just a bottle
I knew a kiddo like this. She had feeding therapy too. Initially she only wanted to eat cookies and bananas. Those were her safe foods. She had really bad acid reflux I believe. Like really bad
Same. My baby lost weight and didn’t gain any inches at the last appointment. I’m not gonna harp on it too much. For one… she’s moving around a lot more. So maybe the extra activity is offsetting her weight gain. She also has been picky about what she eats lately. Smelling everything before she tries it. Just keep doing your best. I’m sore she’ll bounce back.
@Mandy have you tried the airplane thing? To get her to eat? Like making funny noises? Sometimes it works on my baby. But she’s catching on. lol.
@Deeana I haven’t tried that yet. Definitely going to have to give that a try as she loves to play lol. Lately she’s been a little more open to trying things so i think we may be coming to a breakthrough. She is so busy moving around and trying to walk and crawl so i assumed she was burning calories too but her doctors were concerned.
Give her what she likes maybe she still prefers pures or maybe she drinks milk alot instead of food
