How would you get your toddler to eat meat??

My 3.5 year old has never been a huge meat eater - admittedly I’m not and have never been. I usually only eat chicken or turkey. But my toddler I want her to at least try it once. She will literally only have prawns and mince (if in a spag bowl). Other than that the only way I can get her to eat meat is if I blend it into a sauce with veg for her pasta etc. I’m not sure if it’s the meat texture but she just hates chewing on it. I’m just worried she’s not getting enough protein. She does eat her eggs, cheese and beans. Any ideas or anyone in the same boat? Do I just leave her to it or encourage more?

i’m vegan and my two kids are aswell , protein doesn’t just come from meat , we get our protein from leafy greens , chickpeas , lentils , tofu etc , so i wouldn’t force her to eat meat if she’s not overly fond of it , maybe just try and intro different foods to her x

@Lee what if child wont eat -tofu, lentils etc…… ☝🏻🧐😬

My child wont eat cheese beans and now even eggs…. Used to eat chicken and mince meat… It all changes i suppose…. Thats what i hope for! As i am constantly worried about his food!

J gets most his protein from eggs, beans and lentils. Meat isn't actually great for protein. Have you tried Daahl?

@Olga mix it in things , my kids won’t touch lentils but if i put it in a lasagna they’ll demolish it x

I think red meat is really hard for kids to chew and swallow. Even if I cook more on the rare side, my younger kids seem to sit with cheeks full of beef for ages. Maybe introduce when she's a bit older and she might like it more.
