nesting/prepping for baby

I’ve started, hoping to have the nursery finished by mid-April. We got a car seat and stroller this weekend, though we’re planning to wait until June to install the car seat. I also picked up a bunch of postpartum essentials to pack for the hospital, since I might have to have a c-section/ go into labor early due to some complications. My game plan is to get the big stuff/itemas checked off asap… Also I started thinking about post birth game plan as well. Any one else? I feel like time is flying by.

I guess it’s different for me since this will be baby number 2 and we have all the big things. With my first the nursery was done by 20w (crib, changing table, diapers & wipes, books/toys, rocking chair, clothes, bouncer/swing) and we had a stroller/car seat combo. For this one I will have to wait until my husband moves his office back downstairs so that our oldest can sleep in that room and baby girl in the room where my son is right now. Probably when I am around 33w and after the baby sprinkle. I do have the urge to nest already (24w) though 😅

I have all my nursery furniture set up but I’m waiting to see what I get at my shower before I go full nesting mode. I’ve bought some clothes and had some friends give me things but not nesting until June ish - I’m due early August

Oh girl the closet is FULL and I still have more to put away 😫 I’m in the process of getting a new bed as well so stuff is EVERYWHERE 😂 diaper & wipe boxes I bought in bulk, the diaper genie is in the way, bassinet box, swing box, car seat and stroller travel system, I haven’t even put anything together 😭 I wanna cry so bad 😂

ahhhhh so happy for all you cuties! we’re still buying her clothes & books because my family is getting her big items (stroller & crib/bassinet)

As it’s our second baby I haven’t started doing pretty much anything. I need to put together the items we have from the first baby like bassinets, swing etc I think I will start doing that in a month or so. With the first I did super early.its good to get big things out of the way because we don’t know how our pregnancies will progress. It’s not easy doing that with a huge belly

It’s our second and second kid syndrome is definitely hitting 😆 we got a convertible crib that my oldest is using as a toddler bed currently. She slept in my room in her bassinet and then a pack and play until 10 months so I’m planning to do that with this one as well. So she won’t really have her crib until I get a new bed for my toddler. I am starting to get things ready such as moving my older daughter’s clothes into a bigger dresser to make room for the baby stuff. And making a list of what other organization I need to do in other rooms to make the space for a second kids belongings. But I’m definitely taking my time this time because there’s a lot less I need to do.

Soooo much! We are tossing so much, and then we also emptied storage and organized it as well. I've emptied and cleaned all our kitchen drawers inside and out, organized most the kitchen cabinets😆, and instead of a baby shower or sprinkle, I'm planning on having a nesting party especially since my first child will just about be 2 when this baby is born and everything is in gender neutral. I'm having two friends over just to keep reality a thing when making the task list for the party.😊
