Fishy smell coming from toddlers mouth when he isn’t well??
Does anyone know what can cause this? He hasn’t been well since Thursday afternoon. High temperature, been sick, coughing loads of mucus up. He’s lying asleep on me now and his mouth is open it’s like a fishy smell??? We do have a doctors appointment at 4pm. Any advise welcome, ty❤️(he’s 2.5)

If his tongue is white it might be oral thrush
Oral thrush or maybe even strep throat perhaps

I had strep throat a million times before my tonsils were taken out. When I would have it … the breath was bad 🫣🫣 a lot of times too ear infections and strep can go hand in hand in children.
RSV and influenza is going through too with kids. Mine has high temp and started a cough and he just got over strep and his antibiotics now he has to deal with this and breath smells bad but he sick and has sore throat too. Strep is negative though.
