Fussy eater

My 2 year old keeps refusing meals, even at nursery. Would you give them something else rather than the meal already prepared? She tells me she wants something to eat but everything I offer or give she says no. Even her safe foods that I know she normally eats, she’ll take one mouthful and spit out. Im at a loss as I obviously don’t want her going to bed hungry but also running out of ideas 😩😩

I’m in the exact same boat. My LO is 19months, what has helped the past couple days is not giving her anything(like snacks) but her water and wait for her to say she’s hungry or when I see she is fussy and I’ll give a balanced meal. Then a few snacks but nothing before main meal. Hope that makes sense

Yeah mines had no snacks this afternoon and just spat all her dinner out. We’ve been to the park this afternoon so deffo would of worked up an appetite 🤦🏽‍♀️

My 3 year old little boy is exactly the same but he had no snacks and he demolished a whole slice of pizza which he NEVER does he will normally eat the crust and that’s it but he is slowly getting better he is even trying more stuff at nursery which he he would never touch at home if he is being really fussy we normally give him a yogurt and a rusk and maybe some milk just to fill him up as we know he will never turn down them
