Weight gain?

Hey so this is my second baby. I'm currently in week 10 but I've noticed I'm lime showing a lot. Like my stomach even feels hard... but I'm only 10 weeks. I've also gained 10 pounds since finding out I'm pregnant and this includes decreased appetite and morning sickness. Could this mean I could be having twins. I'm just freaking out a little because I have a 11 month old. And twins run heavy in my family. I mean I'm a twin, my mom is a twin, my mom's cousins are twins and they had twins, and my grandma is a twin. So it wouldn't be a complete shock if I am twins. But just wondering if I should or should not start freaking out now ? Sorry if this is all over the place. I'm kinda all over the place.

Basically is the weight gain ok or should I be worried is my question

Really great question I’ve also gained weight around this amount since finding out I was pregnant. I’m not sure and looking forward to others guidance, wisdom, or clarity!

So typically they said you shouldn't really gain weight during your first trimester. I've gained 3 pounds in 11 weeks (but I also haven't been to the gym in a month which doesn't help). Your prepregnant weight also plays a factor. If you're a thinner person then its acceptable/normal to gain more weight because the fetuses need your fat to grow.

Freaking out has no positive bearing on reality, so no. Twins run in your family, so there's an increasing chance for you, in addition to being more fertile after pregnancy. There are other variables that increase your chance of multiples, but as someone whose last pregnancy was twins, I don't understand why you aren't just focused on seeing your OB-GYN for actual facts before all of this unnecessary stress becomes harmful to all parties involved.
