Stepmum on Mother’s Day
I keep seeing that a lot of stepmums are given gifts, cards, treated like normal mums on Mother’s Day.
But is there anyone else who has never received anything as a stepmum on Mother’s Day?
Obviously this has changed since having my own child, but beforehand I’d never received anything on Mother’s Day, despite being in their lives for years.
(Maybe due to rarely having them the weekends that Mother’s Day had fallen on, but still)

Same! I'm not fully convinced my SKs realised I was a 'mother' until I had my own baby last year as this is the first year they've asked to get me something (after 5 years). We've had them a few times for mother's day previously too 🤦🏻♀️ you're not alone!!
Nope I’ve never had anything. Different this year and I’m pregnant and got a card from bump but before that nothing. I’ve never expected anything tbh but I’ve always wanted to be shown appreciation for everything I do for my SS because let’s be honest we do most things most mums do! X
Nope, nothing. I've been in their lives since they were 5 & 8 - they're now 10 & 13. We have them for half a weekend every weekend, and every monday. They're always with their mum for Mother's Day
