Anxiety !!! Any primary school teachers out there 😭
Hi fellow educators …I only have a month or so left before I’m due back at work. I’m expecting a call from my school in regard to my return date . I honestly wish I could go part time but financially it’s just not the right decision for me and my partner. I am extremely nervous about going back and I’m dreading where I will be placed. The schools whole dinamic has changed and I’m so nervous ! I also wanted to ask if i would be able to go part time the year after if I find it tricky this year? Have any fellow teachers done this ? Alternatively has anyone had a career change I really feel like I want one after becoming a mum I hate the expectation of having to bring work home and I just don’t want to anymore my little one needs me too x

@Tricia your school sound lovely and supportive! how are you feeling about going back … I don’t know why I’m just full of nerves and I’ll be going back full time for this year just hoping the following I can go part time 😭
I’m nervous too- especially as I know how full on and tiring it is from day one, just going to be living for the weekends and holidays 😭 I hope your school let you drop your days! X

Hi, I’m going back full time next week and they’ve told me I won’t be in a particular class, I’m just going to be doing cover here and there covering PPA and teachers out on trips/ sick etc until summer. I put in a flexible working request and dropping down to 3 days a week from September but not sure what I’ll be doing yet x
