everyday is totally different and some feel sooooo long but we do independent play in the morning just so i can start to wake up,, then we read stories that we get from the library or from youtube and play with sensory bins like pompoms or basket filling,, my LO takes only one nap so after he does that we either do a craft or go outside for walks or practicing throwing balls,, we watch tv while i’m making dinner and then when he’s getting ready for bed - my mom did this same routine when i was little
It's a lot of the same boring stuff. Just play with toys, play without toys (noises, tickling, peekaboo), watch Ms Rachel or super simple songs.
Check your community centers around you if there are any.. ours all have "indoor play gym" and also the libraries have story hours and some times crafts and Lego play.
I honestly just stay at home with her mostly, I read books to her, watch TV with her, give her plenty of food, she takes one nap a day now so that does help so I can get cleaning around the house done. Other than that I bring her with me grocery shopping and to run errands and then come back home since my husband works 5a-3:30p which goes by quick.
My son and I dog sit for a friend for a couple hours everyday, when we get home we usually eat lunch and then he takes a nap, after that we either play downstairs in his play pen or play in his room. If it’s nice outside we go for a walk or go to the park
I went on a hike with her front facing and she was absolutely loving it (we both did until she started getting squirmy because she likes to walk) yesterday and today we went to story time at the library (there are stories and songs with signing and they can be on your lap then there’s playtime afterwards with STEM and musical toys), then I went to the secondhand baby store (I hate shopping too unless it’s sustainable), and I was going to go to an antiques and art gallery because I love art but ran out of time. If I did go to an art gallery downtown there’s also a garden at city hall for her to run around in. Sometimes we’ll go to mom walks that are outdoors or outside and there’s a children’s discovery museum. I often take her to a playground that’s nearby on the way to the beach.
My comment was already sooo long but I love this channel and this is a good video for at home activities. At home she wanders around and I rotate her toys when I can or if she loses interest, I made language baskets out of random stuff and quiz her, my husband asks her to find the caterpillar in the Very Hungry Caterpillar boo and she touches it, I sing songs like Head and Shoulders and other songs and “read books.” It’s more like talking about what I see in them and asking questions because their attention spans aren’t long enough. https://youtu.be/Ya-mubysd4I?si=FRUkHUwnzEYJaIwv
How old is your baby? I used to go to the aquarium a lot and the zoo. Just taking a walk around the neighborhood or sitting outside in the backyard for some sunshine and fresh air. Our local library had music time and as they got older story time and crafts. There’s a ton to do!
