Is it okay if my 8 month olds don’t eat baby food every day?

Some days they are just not interested in baby food and only want their bottles and maybe will eat a lil crunchie or two. I’m a first time mom so I don’t know if this is okay. I don’t want to be underfeeding my twins. 🙃🙃🙃

Personally I’d try encourage them to eat some more x

Once you start feeding them, you should keep going & build on it slowly, never stop or miss / take away a meal. Their stomach gets used to having food

Just try giving them a bit more. Just a few spoons to build up their appetite. They might be teething and not want to eat

@Nathalie they are definitely teething! One twin had just cut a tooth and my other one is getting close I can feel it almost cutting through

Their main source of nutrition is milk until they're a year, they should always already be full when you offer them solids. Offering them food is an entire sensory exploration experience that helps them develop soooo many motor skills all at once. The importance of introducing meals and keeping them consistent right now isn't to keep them full necessarily, it's to build the routine because they should be at 3 meals and 2 snacks a day in only 4 short months, so yes it's okay every once in a while on a busy day; but at this stage you really do wanna start focusing on offering consistent meal(s) and adding in snacks 🫶🏻 also, I always say ditch the baby food, look into BLW and let them play and explore and learn ❤️❤️

@Kylee it’s only been the last couple days they just haven’t been interested. On a normal day they usually get some sort of fruit in the morning and then a veggie and a protein later in the day along with their bottles. I have been doing some reading on BLW today, it just really scares me. I am such an anxious person, but I know they would do well with it. Thank you for this 💕 this helps me a lot

@Sophie I do ! I always offer food and if they won’t eat it or spit it out after a few bites I stop.
