I am returning in September part-time my LO will be going to nursery, she is 14th Aug so will be 13 months by the time I go back, I am not concerned about her going to a nursery she is my 4th baby my older ones all started nursery at the same age and did well.
Going back in August and will have my second in nursery full time just like my first! My first is in a really nice Montessori one that only take them from 2, so I’ll unfortunately have two separate dropoffs and pickups for a year. They’re quite close to each other at least, and I think it’s been really good for my first to have started at 1 y/o so no issues doing the same with August baby ❤️
I'm going back in July and my baby's going to a childminder for 4 full days. I chose a childminder as I feel she will get more attention there & will learn from the older children. Hopefully anyway. They only take a certain amount of children though so I'd be quick if that's what you want to do. I secured mine in November and they have a waiting list of 6 people now x
You have to be in work for a month before your baby will qualify for the funding so if you plan to start work in September then the baby can use funding from October xo
Two of my best friends work in Nurseries (separately, they don’t know each other) and both say that the nurseries are so under funded they can’t have 1 to 1 with the younger babies and they have several babies from 6 months old who just scream and cry the entire time until they’re mums pick them up. I’m also back in September and I’m terrified of this!!! Luckily I have my mum to help with childcare but we have decided to defer our LOs nursery start till 2 and picked a Forrest nursery. X
We will have our daughter in nursery full time. She will be going to the same nursery her sister had been at and her sister will be starting school in September.
My eldest went to nursery full time from one and he absolutely thrived. After settling he loved it and is still there at pre school now thinking he runs the joint. My youngest will do the same. I have no issues with the ratio they have and the baby room have an outdoor bit we walk past all the time so we can see how happy they all are.. it’s just about finding the RIGHT nursery for you.
What are your concerns with having baby in nursery from 1? I guess if you don’t choose a nursery you’ll have to do two different drop offs and pick ups. I’ve decided nursery as my eldest is there already and I can drop them off together. Most childminders accept the funding and they are easily available, they do loads of things with children and it is smaller. If you’re concerned about nursery that could be your better option
