Child maintenance
Freshly broken up so currently in the stages of figuring out what to do with regards to child maintenance.
I’ve done the online calculator for how much he should pay me each month - does anyone know how accurate this is? Do you end up getting the amount it calculates or do CSA take money off/knock it down?

My ex has a base wage but then gets additional for overtime, standbys etc. so sometimes doubles his wage. So we use the calculator every month and put his wage in for that month so I’m definitely getting the right amount. I would say the calculator is a fair way to do it x
We used the online calculator and ex gives me that amount weekly by bank transfer not through CMS. I think easier to agree between yourself, when we had nursery fees as well he covered half of that

All depends what their wage is , I didn’t find the calculator much help , but it’s a simple process , I’d say worth doing regardless x
