Moving to Southend from London

Hi mums , I'll be moving from London (where I've lived all my life) to Southend-on-sea , I'm feeling anxious as I have only ever been to Southend on a day trip . I'll have nobody in my family support network here with me making it even more difficult. Can anyone tell me what the area is like? And are people friendly? . I have two boys aged 3 and one , thank you
