Following this post as I’m in the same predicament..planning on getting one for my LG’s birthday but there’s so many I can’t decide! All I can say from my own experience of seeing my little girl playing with a toy kitchen at nursery and at playgroup is that she doesn’t really understand the concept of it just yet, she’s happy with simpler role play like looking after a baby or a tea set! X
Yes; my daughter loves hers, she's forever making people tea and toast and it's been amazing for her imagination! she got it for Christmas x
I got my LB one for Christmas and he loves it. He plays with it every day, it's literally the first thing he starts playing with when we comes down in the morning and the last thing he plays with before bedtime. We got ours from smyths for £35 so it didn't cost the earth and has been so worth it x
Yes we love ours. Ours is from ikea but any kitchen that doesn’t have tons of lights or sounds is great. Something where they can use their imagination
Bought one from smith.. yes would recommend it my daughter loves it
Deffo!!!
I got my daughter one for Christmas and she absolutely loves it 🥰still plays with it daily!
We don't have much space but still decided it was worth it! Her play varies but she'll pretend to get a drink with the tap and our thinking was that it would definitely last a good few years and the play develop over that time.
I was the same about buying my son one but it’s his most played with thing now! He loves it x
Thank you everyone!
💯 recommend, we bought my son one for Christmas and he absolutely loves it, one of his favourite things to play with and for the amount of use it gets it’s a really reasonable price. This is the one we bought: https://www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/toys/wooden-toys-and-puzzles/wooden-kitchens/kitchen-corner-play-kitchen-wooden-playset/p/219079
I brought one for my daughter Christmas, and she doesn't use it. I think she's probably a bit too young still. My son was around 3 when he started imaginative play.
