ok incognitošŸ™„ if itā€™s an emergency concern then yeah completely agree but if itā€™s minor then mums might be unsure if itā€™s really a concern or just normal.

I donā€™t know what your health care service is like but I can barely get an appointment for serious problems never mind contacting them every time I have a worryšŸ¤£šŸ¤£ this is for advice for parents who can be anxious about problems especially with the NHS and healthcare services being on their arse, jam packed with enough emergencyā€™s than having to have my probably minor problems on there plate as well because someone on anonymous seems to get annoyed at people posting for advice on concerns šŸ¤£

Why are you alive? Why dont you go to heaven?

I have a choice to do it anonymous or not, but in the uk this is why we have the 111 number to ring to see if itā€™s a concern or not itā€™s just common sense at this point but seeing 5 posts alone today on this group and others that clearly say ā€œIā€™m concernedā€ if your that concerned donā€™t come to the app first seek medical advice first then come to the app and state ā€œ Iā€™m concerned but I have reached for medical advice just wondering if anything else like this has happened to themā€ itā€™s just common sense is it not thatā€™s my point itā€™s not the should I be concerned statements I get them 100%

U should get off the internet entirely

@LizetešŸ§ššŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ touched a nerve did I

tell me youā€™ve never called 111 without telling me youā€™ve never called 111šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£ do you know how long it takes to get a call back from a doctor? i was once waiting over 24 hours.

It could be too late at night to call and ask their doctor, could be days before they can get in to see a doctor, could be they donā€™t have insurance and have to pay a ridiculous amount and want to make sure itā€™s a real concern before spending the money, it could literally be so many reasons. Not to mention thatā€™s exactly what this app is for, to be used as a resource for moms everywhere.

Call 111 as if 111 isnā€™t already 1/2 hour waits to get throughšŸ¤£šŸ¤£, or you could just keep scrolling and mind your business if itā€™s that upsetting to you hahahahahaha

I called 111 last weekend it took 45 minutes to get through to anyone on there. It then took a further hour for someone to call me back to consult doctor then took another 3 hours to speak to a GP. Then took another 2 hours to actually see someone. I obviously value a medical professional over someones opinion on here. However, sometimes itā€™s nice to speak to other people who had similar to put your mind at ease when waiting for someone to get back to you.

USA- I contacted my pediatrician about a concern a while ago and they didnā€™t even ask me to send a picture nor did they call me back quick enough. They also told me it would be fine. So I came on here after to ask about my concern and got other answers that made me relieve that my pediatrician didnā€™t succeed in telling me. This happens with most other parents too or they ask on here while also contacting their pediatrician or ER. Sheesh. Acting like getting second opinions is a horrible thing? lol

CANADA - I contacted my pediatrician about something else was concerned about, and they basically laughed at me and told me when itā€™s more serious to actually call them and donā€™t call them for unnecessary reasons. Thereā€™s also almost like a ā€œ111ā€number for CANADA as well and you only talk to a ā€œnurseā€ and then you get a call back within 24 to 48 hours so yes I will come to this app and ask my questions because who TF are you to tell other mothers what they shouldnā€™t shouldnā€™t be doing and what concerns them and doesnā€™t concern them?? like donā€™t ask other people for advice if youā€™re just gonna be a bitch like this. have the day you deserve anonymous šŸ˜‚

@Sara the literal point of this app is to ask eachother for advice and nothing else really.. Meetups are possible but way more moms are in the states so that's impossible for us Canadians if we're poor

@LizetešŸ§ššŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø no for reals i just have a mom chat now with a bunch of positive vibe mamas so thatā€™s the literal POINT of this app so idk why anon is bein a lil weird but šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

@Sara maybe they're triggered

Is that the sole purpose of this app tho ? ,it's to chat support and meet other mums as well as talk about advise ...some mums on here are nurses and doctors too yano

You weren't even close to touching a nerve. The Internet doesn't phase me, your just projecting

Bc we live in a capitalist society, healthcare is not free (at least in this location), and anxiety can run high so most people want to prevent going to the hospital unnecessarily.
