Potty training advice

Started potty training my little boy with no pants on, he was great, went in the potty either from being prompted or a couple of times he went on his own. We even have numbers 2’s in the potty both prompted and on his own. It now seems like he’s rebelling though and wetting himself more than going into the potty. I’ve just prompted him to go in the potty, he slammed the lid, sat on the floor and wet himself. He also doesn’t seem bothered at all about wetting himself, I’ve seen they usually hate this. Wondering if i should perceiver or leave it a little while. We are onto day 5 at the moment. Thanks

Id persevere personally. It's still early days.

Imo persevere. We're on day 7 and my LG was definitely ready to potty train, but we're still getting ups and downs with the idea of using the potty. Sometimes she's into it and sometimes she isn't. It'll be ok! 😊

Like the other girls have said, stick at it! We tried potty training last October. First week was amazing but we had so much kick back after the first week and we gave up. We weren't mentally ready either 🤣 We started softly getting back into it about a month ago so he gets it and today has been ditch the nappies completely day (apart from naps and at night). There will be accidents, there will be kick back. But it will pass (this is what I'm telling myself anyway 🤣) good luck

Thanks ladies, so hard isn’t it but the benefits will be far greater x

@Kirsty definitely. We started at Christmas and she did really well. We've had 2 weeks since (separately) where she's had loads of accidents. Both times it turned out she was getting ill. We are now at a stage where she tells us everytime :)

I have another problem. My boy is good with potty. He just go and do himslelf. But he is not accepting underwear 😭

@Dovilė is he only doing that naked from the waist down? Try trousers on their own first. Let him pick the underwear - maybe with a favourite character on.

@Dovilė my boy won’t wear underwear either, if I put it on he ends up having an accident. So I’ve been leaving him without, will try in the summer again with pants whilst he’s playing in the garden without anything else on. X
