I just gave it to my daughter after her second birthday which is the recommended age to introduce
My son had chocolate cupcakes for his first birthday party
2 years
I did baby led weaning with the idea that food isn’t good or bad, it’s all about fuelling your body. So I wouldn’t offer my kid treats like that unless they were big enough to ask for it. However if the whole family was having dessert and baby was trying to snatch it I’d give them a little taste. Hopefully that makes sense!
We do 50/50 for the 15mo when her brother (4) gets some.
Both had it on their first Halloween one was 5 months one was 6 months. After that it was like baked into things like muffins and cake closer to a year old

My son had a couple of chocolate buttons at 14 months bc it was Christmas 😊
My daughter was 11 months when it was her first Easter so she tried a little bit of chocolate and loved it. Just in moderation, she’s never had issues with eating veg and savoury as a result of having a treat or two.
My son was 1 on Easter Sunday so he tried some then. My daughter is only 7 months and we're in no hurry to give her any
Not sure if this counts but I gave my son a chocolate muffin at 7-8 months
