CMPA and soya
Hi!
We recently saw a pediatrician and she told us to avoid soya until my little one is older as they’re more likely to be intolerant to soya if they are dairy.
My little one is on pepti 1 at the moment and his only symptom was constipation. He’s coming on loads with his weaning journey but I’m massively struggling to find alternatives in the supermarket that don’t contain soya.
I don’t want to make him poorly but I do also want to make more tasty things for him and to be able to buy it at Asda/lidl etc.
Has anyone found their little ones are intolerant to soya aswell as dairy or has it been ok??
Advice is welcome ❤️
hmm, I totally get the struggle, finding stuff without soya can be a pain, but I've heard some folks have luck with oat-based products or coconut yogurt, maybe check those out? this is what the 'Heal Baby Care App' mentioned… hope it helps! "It's great to hear that your little one is progressing well with weaning! Many parents find that children with dairy intolerance can also have issues with soy, so it's wise to be cautious. For alternatives, consider looking for products labeled as "dairy-free" and "soy-free," such as almond milk or oat-based products, which are often available at major supermarkets like Asda and Lidl. You can also try making homemade meals using ingredients like mashed bananas, sweet potatoes, or pureed vegetables, which can be tasty and safe.
