Screening test results
Hi everyone. My screening test results have come back at 1:5000 for all 3 tests. My previous baby was at a different hospital and came back at 1:40,000 for downs and 1:150,000 for the others so this result seems quite high to me. I’m wondering if it is a hospital thing that all low risks are 1:5000 or if results can be lower? Would you get extra testing? Thank you!

Just to add your results are still in a very low risk range but if you are concerned speak to your midwife and she will arrange a consultation with the screening department I imagine
NHS recently changed parameters so 1:5000 is now the lowest risk you can get.
Hi! I had a 1 in 7 chance and as you can imagine I was terrified with such a high risk. I had extra testing (amniocentesis) in Oxford and it all came back clear
