Child tax credit?

Once you add a child it will have you fill out questions to determine if your eligible. Use turbo tax it’s very helpful , walks you step by step thru it

Pretty sure they need like your child’s ssn or something, at least our tax guy did, but yeah they have to be under 18 and fit some other criteria

Now the child care one is a nightmare... We are still trying to figure that one out

I just needed to provide their SSN and DOB

If you’re doing it yourself on TurboTax or similar just add a dependent, they’ll ask name, birthday, and social, then they’ll ask you a couple of questions. It will automatically add the amount you receive into your refund or what you owe.
