Sending solidarity, I have a 2.5 year old too and potty training isn’t going as quick as I thought it would!! But taking it one day at the time, I am 28 weeks and I have aches and pains which I didn’t experience at all with my first. We got this 💪🏻
I’m also feeling huge with my second. I think my total weight gain is the same as it was at full time last time round… And it’s very hard trying to wrangle a 2 year old that still wants to be carried everywhere! Haven’t started toilet training yet…
About to be 29 weeks and I feel pretty miserable. This will be our third baby and it’s been such a hard pregnancy compared to my first two. I’d never had PGP before but I’m literally in tears multiple times a day because it’s so bad, sciatica has just started, I think I had about two weeks off from morning sickness and it’s back full force, absolutely exhausted. I have a 2 year old and a 3 year old and it’s just a lot. I’m just tired of being in pain all the time and feel like I’m not doing enough with my two even though we’re still out for hours each day at parks/museums/walking. Just so many emotions swirling around. Only advice is that yes it might get worse but then it gets sooooo much better! My current two have 15 months between them and once we got past the newborn bit everyday got easier and their now the absolute best of friends and watching them grow up together is my favourite thing in the whole world. Giving them each other is the best thing I ever did
I know it feels overwhelming right now but it will be so worth it and this will pass (also repeating that to myself all day long trying to convince myself it gets better haha). It sounds like your doing a great job though and I hope it gets easier for you soon 🤍
@Katherine Thank you for the kind words. I’m not too worried about the weight. It’s more issues with mobility and being unable to run after my toddler the bigger I get. I’ve been asked twice now if I’m having twins as I’m so much bigger than my first pregnancy, it’s really getting my down 😢
@Frederique The aches are real! Getting up off the floor after playing with my toddler is becoming so hard! This second pregnancy is definitely very different from the first.
@Jennifer I’m also about the same size now as I was full term with my first, I can no longer pick up and hold my toddler for long periods of time as my back just can’t take it! It’s a tough one
@Gemma thank you for sharing, sounds like this pregnancy has been really tough for you. How you are managing to still get out and about is impressive! I’m feeling damn near house bound with the pain and difficulties I’m experiencing. I’m trying to have a mental shift to look forward to the good times ahead but it’s still such a long journey till we get there. One day at a time I suppose! I hope things get easier for you! Good luck xxxx
Don’t worry about weight gain it will come off straight after giving birth especially if you have two kids! Try not to be hard on your self and I highly doubt you are that huge!! Remember what your body is doing creating a new life and like you said you are eating healthy and being active so that’s all you can do xx
