I gave birth last June; and too a small suitcase; a rucksack, a reusable bag and my partner also took a bag

Pack as much as you think you’ll need, I’m due again this June and I won’t be packing lightly as anything could happen and you can stay in longer than excepted

Deffo pack more than you think you need. I didn’t pack a toothbrush or shampoo or anything just body wash cos i assumed I’d be in and out lol but I ended up in overnight and it’s so hot on the ward afterwards whether you stay or not you’ll want a nice shower and hair wash and freshen up. I didn’t even taken comfy clothes for after which I very much regretted 😂

I was in Basingstoke a couple weeks ago and we had 1 large bag for me, a weekend bag for my partner and then babies bag. And then also a bag full of snacks 😂😂 They won’t even question it! Pack extra water bottles as I was left from midnight when I went into the ward after labor until 7am without any water but luckily had a 2L bottle with me anyway! And the ward is SO HOT you will be drinking like a fish I promise you! Xtra pads etc and I would defo say a specific wash bag as the bathroom is not in the same room as your bed so will have to walk down the hallway with all toileting bits etc which I hated! X

Pack what you want! I has my baby in 2022 and we had my stepdads army bag full of things which half of it didn’t even get used🤣 but I was only in for a day, I got told to pack as if I’m staying a few nights for just incase it does happen
