Babysitters

Where are you all finding your sitters/nannies? My partner and I both work (him fill, me 4 days a week) and we for the most part have been extremely lucky with our schedules being opposite. Well he just started a new job and now we need a sitter for two days while we are both at work. I’m not from here and neither is he, so our families aren’t much help currently. So where are you finding your people? I am EXTREMELY anxious to leave my son with people only because of all the horror stories you hear in life. 😫😫 So if you have any recommendations. I greatly appreciate them.

On Facebook, Nashville childcare connection and Nashville Mom’s group would be a couple of good places to start. There are lots of sitters and nannies there who you’d have to do your research with but many of them are cpr certified and background checked. I am a new mom of a one month old and before that I was a nanny for 15 years. So I have seen what it’s like from the other side. There are also many nanny Nashville agencies that could find a good match for you and make sure they were vetted, but that will cost you a placement fee. Let me know if you need names of agencies.

If you’re really nervous I would suggest also doing a “trial run” where you have them come for a short period like 2 hrs when you don’t strictly need them and stay close by (or even in the building if you’re at an apartment like me). This can help a lot with comfort level.

I found somebody my son loves and is great with him. Can send u her info on Facebook if u like
