If you’re really nervous I would suggest also doing a “trial run” where you have them come for a short period like 2 hrs when you don’t strictly need them and stay close by (or even in the building if you’re at an apartment like me). This can help a lot with comfort level.
I found somebody my son loves and is great with him. Can send u her info on Facebook if u like
On Facebook, Nashville childcare connection and Nashville Mom’s group would be a couple of good places to start. There are lots of sitters and nannies there who you’d have to do your research with but many of them are cpr certified and background checked. I am a new mom of a one month old and before that I was a nanny for 15 years. So I have seen what it’s like from the other side. There are also many nanny Nashville agencies that could find a good match for you and make sure they were vetted, but that will cost you a placement fee. Let me know if you need names of agencies.
