Thanks Kirsty. I am worried about my placenta failing too. My readings are not super low at the moment, they are comfortably within the target range, previously they would be right on the borderline. I’ll keep an eye on them and if they continue going down I’ll call the hospital.
Yes I had this with my 20month old , I was on insulin and all of a sudden I started getting low readings to the point I wasn’t having to take any insulin but I was constantly going low like 2.5 , I told my diabetic consultant and they said my placenta was failing so I ended up having my boy at 36 weeks , i also high blood pressure which was turning into pre-eclampsia….I’d definitely recommend giving them a call and explaining about your levels being lower… for me even after a glucose drink biscuits sandwich ect my sugars would still be low x
