@Jessica I have been reading how to help the luteal phase and it seems hard to manage, maybe a lack in progesterone as well with me. Appreciate you sharing your experiences, bless you, it's hard trying to figure out the body, what it may be needing or lacking or what we can do to help ourselves. I hope you have some hope in that it has happened before despite the lengths previously 🙏🏼. I did some tracking last month and will be going into 2nd cycle monitoring after my period ends. Thank you for the tips. With my first, who's 4 now, my cycle was near perfect usual 28 days, nice phases, but this time around ever since I came off my contraception back in Sep/October, my period comes around super quick!
My luteal phase was just 9-11 days. I’m currently 37 weeks pregnant
@Leonie congratulations 🩷🩵, there is hope 🙏🏼, if you don't mind me asking how long did it take for conception?
Ya it’s frustrating. I see lots of recommendations online for improving progesterone or strengthening ovulation but none seem to be working yet. I can’t actually try currently because my husband had to have radiation in January but I’ve been tracking and taking supplements and hoping every month to see one extra day on the luteal phase in the hopes of having better odds when we can start trying again in May. If anyone has any luck improving theirs please tell me about it!
I had a 9-10 luteal phase. After 4 losses I was started on progesterone at the time of ovulation - 1st cycle my luteal phase was 15 days with it. Then conceived second cycle - currently 31 weeks.
@Jessica yes I'm also taking supplements since January, but I know they can take about 3 months to have any effect on egg quality etc. I agree I would like to know if there's anything that helps anyone 😊 Sorry to hear about your husband, hope the treatment has gone well 🙏🏼
@Jess I have only had one loss, but I guess they wouldn't prescribe progesterone until I've had some reoccurrences? I have been trying to naturally enhance this by certain foods and supplements! But i think it takes time to regulate this way but I'm unsure! Congratulations 🩵🩷 I'm so happy for you, and glad they found a solution!
The NHS won’t. But generally a private consultant will. It’s usually £250-300 to meet with them without testing. Thank you. Still keeping my fingers firmly crossed for my quadruple rainbow to arrive safely 🌈 🤞🏻
My luteal phase is only 8 or 9 days. I did manage to get pregnant on the fourth month trying for my first, and in the first month trying for my second (although sadly that ended in a miscarriage at 5 or 6 weeks. It still makes me nervous because it does only give me 2 or 3 days for implantation to occur so it may still lengthen my time to conceive (not so far but maybe I just got lucky before?) so I’m doing everything I can to try to lengthen it but so far nothing has helped. Before you worry about your luteal phase do a few months of tracking ovulation to make sure you actually know how many days you have between ovulation and your next period because you’re right that you may just be ovulating earlier than you think. And even if it’s actually 12 days, implantation doesn’t usually occur past 12 days past ovulation anyways so that should give you quite a good chance still
