Weighing daycare options

Opinions please!! We are looking for a daycare to place our tot and needless to say it’s weighing on my heart heavy. We have two great options. Similar distance, great curriculum, both clean and secure. Option A is a franchise. $40 more and offer meals. Staff seems friendly. The kids were very disciplined for 2 year olds. They teach them to be good citizens. Option B is family run daycare no lunch. The owner took us on a tour and seem to fall in love with our child. She asked if she can pick him up and he actually went to her. She gave grandma vibes which I’m a sucker for as I lost my mom as a kid. My heart is saying option B but my mind is saying Option A because of the meals included. I work very long hours and knowing my child is fed is one less thing to worry about. Packing lunch daily is giving me anxiety honestly but I can’t ignore how Option B treated my child and made me feel. What should I do?

You know what’s best for you. My husband is in charge of packing breakfast and lunch and snacks for our little one everyday and it is such a big weight off of me. Do you have a partner who can take on that responsibility for you? We often cook up a big soup or meal on the weekend that is lunch for the week.

I always say to follow your heart. I do think the meal thing would also weigh on me as that’s one more thing you need to worry about. However; you’ll find a system/meal prepping that works best for you. You can’t beat a place that made you feel so comfortable!!!

I try to meal prep for girls who go to an in home daycare. But on days when that hasn’t been possible I send them with a bag of prepackaged goods. Gerber toddler meals, individual packs of fruit snacks, teddy grahams, goldfish, nitro grain bars, etc. nothing wrong with that.

Option A

@Madeline honestly I didn’t even think about gerber toddler meals!
