Yes this is difficult
@Laura I’ve been trying the 3 day method this weekend and she literally holds it. She won’t potty until I put a diaper/pull up on her for nap and bedtime. Her night time diaper is so full in the morning. So today I did underwear and she ran and hid to poop in it 😭
My son will squat down when he poops now, but if we try to take him to the toilet when he's squatting he literally just freaks out.. this will definitely be a process 🫠
@Cassie mine does the same thing. If I interrupt her she freaks out and she won’t keep pooping
I used to set a timer. My boy is 2.5 and fully potty trained now. Every 30 mins i would have him sit on the potty for 5-10 mins. I got him an elmo potty training book. And when he had an accident I would be all like "ewwww!! No!! You sit on the potty like the Elmo book!" And then I'd have him sit on the potty again. Play potty songs. Eventually I took away pull ups so if he peed himself he'd know what happens. It didn't take him too long. Pooping in the potty was quicker than getting to the potty for every pee but it didn't take long. I wasn't extremely lenient and I think that helped. Like I didn't just give him a pull up because he wasn't "getting" it
Also! I want to add, i used to give him a piece of chocolate every time he pooped in the toilet. It helps but don't do this for too long cause it definitely made him crazier and crankier, having sugar like that all the time
@Taylor hiding and pooping is where we're at too! She does tell me when she has to poop but doesn't want to sit on the potty so we will just probably wait a few more months
Yes - we started with doing mornings and now mornings and night. She’s great at doing a poo, but hasn’t yet associated with wees too. Going to drop nappies Easter long weekend
@Taylor Yes!! My daughter too, I'm doing no underwear but she will hold it till she has something on. But I'm making her sit on the toilet every 15min anyways and I'm bribing her with a cookie if she actually goes lol I've had some successful trys and now even with a diaper on she'll tell me potty and we go sit down but she's already gone which she wouldn't even tell me she had pee before potty training so I take it as a win. I'm also asking her where pee and poop go and she points to her toilet so a win I guess lol 🤷
Mine tells me too and I’ve tried jelly beans, Oreos nothing is working. She was going 4+ hours without going
My son is but he also has an older sister who potty trained between 3-3.5. She took a little bit because she was afraid of the toilet. Now he wants to go all the time because she does. We started trying out underwear and routinely going on the potty until he pees and we can show him excitement so he can associate the feeling to go.
We are just waiting on the weather to be warm enough. We followed the ‘Oh Crap’ method with my daughter 3 years ago when she was newly two and will do the same with my son. He seems super interested so I think it will go pretty well, we shall see in a few weeks.
Mine just turned 2 last weekend. Yesterday my oldest asked if she wanted to use the Elmo potty. Lilly sat down and peed right away. We were shocked. We tried again throughout the weekend and she didn’t go again.
Nope! I’ve introduced it but I’m going to wait until she’s ready.

I've got to figure out something as far as the potty seat itself. My son bobs up over the catch cup and when I try different ways to help him angle himself he just squirms to the point of falling off the seat saying it tickles 😮💨 Not exactly sure how to tackle that one unless we go straight for standing but... what a mess it'll be 😩
Our daughter isn't interested at all. Joining the thread to see what others are doing.
