Hi I just wanted to post this here as this group seems to be a little more active. If there's anyone that has any experience with the diagnosis of autism I'd greatly appreciate the advice
If you have suspicions make a diary and gather evidence, some things can be normal developmental things. Usually a diagnosis won't be made u til 5at the earliest unless it is really obvious, is he in any day care setting, have you spoken to them about concerns as they can make the necessary referrals, but definitely speak to your GP if you're worried,
Alternatively look on your local council website for parent/family hub as there will be support groups you can go to. Or alternatively you could refer yourself to the early help services and they will also be able to support you and your child to make sure they have the correct support in place when he does start his full time mandatory education. Xx
