Remember, you got this mommas
@Rae-Anne thank you so much 🥺🫶🏼 he cried for about 5 mins but then stopped. he had a little rug burn on his face but otherwise totally fine. went back to playing and being himself after 10 mins. called the ped and they said watch for vomiting and behavior change and he’s been normal since. happened over an hour ago now and he’s napping (made sure he was ok and double checked it was safe to let him sleep) but he seems perfectly normal, like it never happened. mom guilt to the MAX tho 😭
hi, my baby has done this 2-3 times off different surfaces (she’s a daredevil, she is constantly testing her boundaries and leaping/rolling off everything she can) and from what i’ve read and been told, if the height they fell is 2x their height, you should take them in to get checked out to be safe, but if they are acting okay otherwise, you’re more than likely fine, babies are super resilient!! it happens, don’t beat yourself up momma!! (if it makes you feel any better, they say if babies fall off a bed/couch/etc before they turn one, it’s good luck for them 😂) we’re all just moms doing our best!!
I think he'll be okay! If anything, just make sure to have him off the bed next time.
@Sirah oh 100% just doing my best🥲 that makes me feel better .. thankfully he fell from a height lower than his own when he stands up. just the sound it made was so horrible and his cry was so heartbreaking. but 10 mins later he was acting like nothing happened. i know kiddos are resilient but dang 😩
@Rae-Anne next time i’ll plop him in HIS bed that has 4 walls he can’t scale😅😅
Mine has fallen from our bed twice and he’s alright cried a few min and wanted some cuddles then was right back to being his crazy self lol
He now crawls to the side of the bed lays down and looks over the side (we grab his legs when he does this) and he thinks it’s so funny
@Melissa Dawson i know kids are so resilient to this kinda stuff but oh my gosh it scares me so bad sometimes 😅 my son is over it and so past it but my heart still hurts
lol I get it…my heart hurts every time mine has fallen too..I think it makes it better when you know they’re ok
Hey mamas! We quite literally just took our 10 month to the ER last night after our 4 year old dropped her and she hit her head on their bunk bed! They asked if baby immediately cried after or passed out, and are they acting normally emotionally and physically, and is there any vomiting my girly is okay just a good bruise on her forehead
@Lydia i’m so sorry to hear that! i’m glad she’s ok. it’s so scary how fast accidents can happen :( babies are so strong
@Lydia this hits home because my 5yr old loves to try and carry our 10m old and he’s 25lbs where the 5yr old is 42lbs 🥲 I constantly have to tell him to put his brother down now he likes to grab his hands and walk with him
I have three. All three have fallen. Generally what they say is check three things. 1. Did he cry when it happen, even just a little until you comforted him? 2. Does he look lethargic? 3. Do his eyes dilate when light shines on them? Babies are resilient as hell. More often than not, they're fine. Just keep an eye on him and if you notice any worrying signs, take him to the er.
