My first pregnancy I just washed everything really well. My second I was like meh whatever we done this before.
I read the book “expecting better” and it really breaks down all the risks. It made me feel better. I even had some sushi a few times just watching out for mercury.
Basically, everything is dangerous while you're pregnant so you might as well not eat 🙄 (according to the internet, that is). Just be mindful of listeria outbreaks in your area, wash the food before you eat it, and everything will be just fine ☺️!!!
I avoided bag salad and restaurant salad. It was hard!
I eat salad. The restaurant should also be washing it and keeping it correct too... i even eat Caesar salad i just make sure the dressing is pasteurized 🤷♀️
I was more cautious with my first. I would still eat salads and make my own fresh juices etc but towards the end of pregnancy I was way more relaxed and ate basically everything. My second pregnancy I just ate everything; salads, cut up fruit, cold cut sandwiches, sushi etc 😂
Yes just washed it all before
I think stressing about it is more of a risk. I just ate salad because salad is healthy and I can’t always prepare it at home
I ate salads and have been fine, as most have said it's a risk, but a small one and only you can decide if it's one you're willing to take. Me and my partner made a cheesecake and I only realised after 3 hefty slices that I wasn't supposed to be eating soft cheese, all is well though and I enjoyed them, despite the heartburn that followed 😂
It’s up to you really, it’s a risk, but it’s an incredibly tiny risk. I personally ate them, some people avoid. Not sure which country you’re in but in the UK each restaurant has a food hygiene rating so you could stick to 5 stars to be as safe as you can control, or whatever the equivalent would be. How many times have you picked up a bug eating salads in the last ten years? Personally, zero.
