Have you tried changing formula?x
@Patricia I’m not sure what formula is the best for reflux but I use kendamil x
Jasmine sorry I forgot to mention my wee boy was on kendamil but we moved him onto cow and gate anti reflux
My little one used to vomit on sma. Hes now on aptimal. Still vomits at times but no where near how much he did before. Try changing formulas before going to the Doctors
It’s not silent if she’s sick, it’s just reflux (silent is when they don’t spit up milk but they suffer like crazy because of the acid, my daughter had it). You should contact your doctor, they might give her thickener or gaviscon. If they don’t help at all you should also look into milk allergy, a friend of mine had a baby with reflux and it was actually milk allergy even without a rash. If she‘s not in pain (crying, arching her back, crying during feedings etc) they might not give you anything, they’d say she’s over fed.
Has baby been checked for a tongue tie? Also suggesting a visit with an osteopath. My girl (now 6 months) everyone GP, and 3 HV kept saying reflux and got prescribed gaviscon. Took her to a paediatric osteopath to ease reflux symptoms and my girl at 4 months was "diagnosed" tongue tie and reflux was only that. Midwife we saw privately for the tongue tie and snip told us GP and HV aren't trained to detect a tie unless it's obvious. From the moment tie was released my baby was a new baby no more arching, no more fussiness around bottle no more vomit. Not saying your LO doesn't have reflux but maybe worth a check on that side too! Good luck x
@Nives she has a tongue tie but refusing to snip it but her feeds are becoming more better as the days go on now so I’m hoping it’s not reflux. Maybe it’s linked to the tie and how much did the snip cost you? X
Hey my wee one suffered really badly with reflux from like 2-5 weeks and then the doctor finally gave thicker and gaviscon and from about week 6 and now currently 12 weeks like a completely new baby xx
