Thank you for the info! I’m new to all this so I have a lot to learn 🫠
You can pay your family with the ACS Voucher like the grandparents etc but not an actual professional nanny.
I actually just called ACS on Friday and I was told if we wanted to get a nanny / person to watch our child they would pay someone. We just have to get all the forms through ACS and have that person fill it out. From what I was told the younger the child more money they will give.
I was informed for infants up to one and a half years it’s $100 a day and then for toddlers it’s $90 a day. But you can call the ACS call center and they will provide you with all of the information you may have to stay on the hold up to 40 mins it takes them a while to answer.
Thanks so much ladies! I’ll cal tomorrow to see what they tell me.
@Cristina the best of luck to you 🫶🏽
@Imani this is shocking! I was pretty sure the national average was 25/hr for 1 child 😳
@Monica Yes I was shocked too but that’s what the ACS rep told me idk if each family is different or not. But if I’m unable to find a childcare facility, I like then I’ll be looking for a nanny and just inform them of the amount what ACS will pay 🤷🏽♀️
I advise to negotiate with the person. Acs pays them x and give them the difference (hopefully not much) I didn’t know acs did that.
Nannies are not approved options for ACS voucher, as far as I can tell
