Not natural but when I feel a blocked duct coming on I take lecithin tablets. They supposedly thin your milk, and I've been able to avoid antibiotics. You can get them from Holland and Barrett.
Though painful, continue breastfeeding, it helps clear the infection and keeps the milk flowing. Gentle pumping also helps
Thank you ladies x
Weird one but cabbage is good for this, worked for me when I had this issue
Cold press and ibuprofen. I had it twice and thats the only thing that helped. Keep on feeding per usual but dont overfeed from that breast. The inflammation will go down soon
Poor you! It’s awful!!!! Agree with above… cabbage leaves down bra, hot/cold press, massaging out lumps, stay hydrated … also didn’t know it when I had it but read recently castor oil helps so worth looking up! Hope it resolves Xx
@Harley how long do you recommend wearing it x
I wore it for about 20/30 minutes or until the cabbage goes warm 😊
Put cold compress on your breast and keep changing it once it goes warm, try to keep feeding your baby off that side or lightly massage your boob downward to help the milk lose/drop orrr still lightly massage or like brushing down motion with your hands on you boob and pump. This helped me when I had it x
