This is reassuring as my little one is exactly the same!
Same i offer food throughout the day but the amount she eats varies. She eats a big porridge and fruit portion in the morning (I spoon feed her) then rest of day is blw style and the amount she eats varies. Some days she does really well and seems to chew and swallow a fair bit, others everything is tried but ends up on the floor. Definitely getting some in as can see veggies etc in her 💩
Offering 3 meals as well and it’s very hit or miss. If it’s like a mushy puree or porridge or something she can feed herself with a spoon she always eats it up. Some finger foods have really been a hit like peanut butter toast, egg zucchini bites, cucumber, and banana. Other times she seems to suck on it a bit and not actually ingest anything. Don’t think there really is a ‘normal’ as of yet!
I offer 3 meals most days but she eats hardly anything. She tries everything we offer. At this point it's all about learning so I'm not too worried. The only thing she properly eats is yoghurt but she gives everything a go
Thank you ladies this is really reassuring! Think because her sleep has gone to shit I’m getting in my head about her being full 😂😂
I offer a breakfast dinner and a snack she is also breastfed along side its more about exposure than them having actual meals
My son is 10months 11months tomorrow and he’s doesn’t want to eat anything he chooses his milk every time so your doing something and if she’s accepting it then good. I just wish my little lad would too
My daughter hasn’t even started weaning it upsets her stomach too miuch
I offer two meals but she doesn’t eat much. I have moved away a bit from BLW to try and get her to eat more, and it is working. I’m doing purées in the evening now and spoon feeding her. It took her a while - as she preferred to feed herself - but now she is opening her mouth for the spoon/food, so I’m really pleased. It’s still only a few spoonfuls, and I need to move to chunkier textures. But I think my advice to others would be to try purées, and try more ‘meals’ rather then just say, blended carrots or other single veg.
We only have breakfast and dinner still. She still naps over lunch time and isn't interested in food at that time of days
I’m about to start offering 2 meals now but we’ve been on 1 for a couple weeks. My son barely eats just covers himself in it and slops puree everywhere 🥴 some of it must be going in though, I wouldn’t worry at all. Small amounts is normal!
