8 weeks jab without calpol

My LO got 8 weeks jab today and gp told not to give calpol unless she is fussy and crying. Does she get a fever?? What things I need to take care of

Thats weird advice! You can give calpol as soon after jabs as possible and then another lot 4-6 hours after and then a third lot 4-6 hours after that if you want to and baby struggling - it helps with any localised pain where the jabs were and helps prevent a fever x

I gave my baby calpol anyway just incase

Crazy how advice differs, we were told we have to give it 3 x a day x

For the 8 week jabs you're supposed to give calpol of they got the menB vaccine.

My baby had his first lot of injections today as well, I was told to give calpol 3 times straight away to avoid the worst of the temperature that they normally get from the meningitis vaccine. So 1 dose straight away then another 4-6 hours later and then another 4-6 hour after that.. and then tomorrow it will just be as and when needed (obviously still 4-6 hours apart if needed) x

We gave calpol before the jabs after being advised to do so. I gave one more sachet 4 hours later as my LO seemed really unhappy but we didn’t need any more after. If she’s fine then u probs don’t need it but if she’s a bit grisly it will probs help x
