Family time

What does everyone do with a baby when ur partner is off work. I have a 7 weeks old and im trying to think what activities we can do as a family outside of the house. Its important for us to take our mind off this difficult weeks however all i see everyone do is go to the park for a walk , we arent nature people so the park is an absolute no and honestly im sick of going for a meal šŸ˜… me and my partner before used to go spa , movies, games , out with friends but it always involved something that we cant do with a baby. Please any suggestions what do you guys do because we cant stay home till he grows up šŸ˜

You can do variations of a few of these things. Some cinemas have a baby club - the lighting is dimmed, the sound is lower and these screenings are usually only for parents with babies under 1, which means you donā€™t need to worry about your baby crying or needing to pop out for a change as everybody else there will ā€œget itā€. Instead of the spa you could go to a baby class at your local pool. We did meet up with friends for drinks or dinner when our boy was a baby - theyā€™d choose family friendly venues (we didnā€™t drink obviously, or one of us might have just one). I game and Iā€™d game while the baby was napping. Babies also love aquariums, and as the weather gets nicer you could go to petting farms if thatā€™s more acceptable than the park! My baby started showing interest in the animals at around 6-7 months. Hope this helps x

Everyman does a baby club where you go to the movies with little baby x

Swimming? Xx

Make the most of socialising with friends and family now, as when they get to 7mths onwards. It's harder to do things. As they get bored, or act up if not doing the things they want.

@Rachael thankss so much for the recommendations . I had no idea baby cinemas existed ( this is my first baby šŸ˜…)

@Bronte i tried to arrange smth to go swimming with him but the ones i have in the area are over 12 weeks and the ones for his age are far away and i cant pay a monthly subscription when i wont go every week since its far . I havent found any place i can book a day pass for now till he is 12 weeks . If you know any please let me know

Do any of your local swimming pools do family swim time they block out an hour in the schedules for family to swim some have splash pads which is pools that are really shallow and warm you can usually book online as itā€™s pay as you go, some baby and toddler groups do messy play and do family days

Iā€™m a first time mama too and didnā€™t know either! I was lucky to be in a mums group where we all shared things we found. Youā€™re very welcome, hope you find lots of lovely things to do with your little one & partner! I can see somebody has already mentioned Everyman - The Light (another chain of cinemas) have baby and toddler clubs too, so do some independents like HOME in Manchester x
